AGBS week #6: Pruning the Parables (04/21/10)
Class #6 began by answering some questions related to Week 5 materials & concepts (including the different ways God rewards righteousness in the OT & the NT, the possible reasons behind most scholars lack of awareness related to the “cutting edge” research of the scriptures, the possible reasons behind receiving “illumination”, the difference between self-sacrifice & Self-sacrifice, and a deeper look into Jesus’ mysterious “healing” at Gerasenes). Thereafter, the majority of the evening looked deeply into the many subtle-yet-potent meanings Jesus’ parables.
