AGBS week 2: Textual Criticism — how the Bible came to be (03/24/10)

Class #2 began by answering some questions related to Week 1 materials & concepts (including comparing “Laws of God” in the Bible with laws of men, mentioning a few books/authors who can help the Biblical Seeker during his/her quest for Truth, and delving into some of the deeper Truths of John 3:16).  Thereafter, the majority of the evening engaged the concept of “Textual Criticism” — how scholars decide which ancient manuscripts are “legitimate” and which are less so when translating those texts into English.
