AGBS week 1: introducing the Bible (03/17/10)
Class #1 began by discussing the Bible Study’s logistic information (the when’s, the where’s and the why’s of the class — including an introduction to the primary purpose of the course: to inspire its participants to use the deeper Truths of the Bible to re-discover their own unique Path to Peace). We then looked at the “9 lenses of interpretation” we would be using to delve into the scriptures, and concluded with the presentation of a time-line for the Bible’s evolution (how our modern Bible with its 66 books came to be).
