2009 … The bluest of Blues; the coolest of Cools
Later that same year, during a family reunion on Oregon’s “Gold Coast”, I took a side-trip to the pristine beauty of Crater Lake. And here, a humble warning to all: if you ever travel to Crater Lake and want to go swimming, note ahead of time that the water is very cold! Of course, jumping in was well worth it — one of the handful swimming experiences of my life that I would classify as truly “halcyon” …
