Liminal Layover #02a (Madrid): Another long day’s Night … (August 05, 2019)

While there is no doubt that my older and already aching body would have preferred a short & more comfortable ride to Madrid than the bumpy overnight bus ride that was offered me, there is just as little doubt that my Soul only felt gratitude for the same …

Such is life, imagined or dreamed of or otherwise: a continuous parting of ways, a constant flux of approximation and distanciation, multitudinous lines of fate intersecting at infinite points of Here&Now no-time – theoretical crossroads purely ‘present,’ an innately unstable ice floe that is forever drifting between what was and what will be … And then there is the additional truth that the more places I visit and experience, the bigger I realize the world to be. The more I become aware how relatively little I know of it and all its residents – human and animal alike, I understand how much more there is for me to learn. Some would say that this realization is Enlightenment enough – to know that there is no final resting place of the mind, no moment of smug clarity. And yet far deeper still I know a far greater wisdom – that being the realization not only of just how small I am when juxtaposed with my world, but also how far I have yet to go in melding into the same with love.” ~ inspired by Sol Luckman & Anthony Bourdain
