Day 065m: Majesty on the Mount … (06/18/2019)
This particular day was exceedingly hot & uncomfortably – almost oppressively – arid (I personally don’t do very well when blasted by direct summer sunlight), and I found myself at one point stumble-weaving down the dusty path; wondering whether I would find a more traditional pace of rest that afternoon, or whether I should simply sit down beneath the next shady tree to gather my strength. And yet at some point soon thereafter I rounded a bend in the trail and saw a vision of temporary salvation – the beautiful hilltop city of Lauzerte seemingly reaching out with both her hands to peel away the veil of shimmering heat and offer me refuge from the same… 🙂
“It is actually our own attitude that comes to our rescue whenever we’re seeking help from external sources. In all times of trial & trouble, our salvation either comes from within us, or it doesn’t come at all.” ~ inspired by Sachin Kumar Puli
