Day 065k: Nature’s particular Gift … (06/18/2019)

“Nature’s particular gift to the walker, simply through the semi-mechanical act of walking, is the the walker’s mind is set into fluid motion; made garrulous and exalted, even a little mad – quite certainly hyper-creative and supra-sensitive. And the longer one walks, the more these gifts escalate in their intensity – until at last the walker’s separate persona begins to dissipate, and his or her mind seems to float above & all around; as if Nature herself were talking to you whilst you are walking within her. And it is at this sacred point that everything begins to join in and become one – the Sun and the wind, the white road and the green hedges, the sky and the trees, the walker and the road underfoot.” ~ Kenneth Grahame
