Day 065j: My newfound, not-so-foreign Friends … (06/18/2019)

The Way suddenly begins to climb quite steeply – up, Up, UP along a rocky, windy, heavily wooded path – a path that would have been more readily beautiful had it not been so darn exhausting … πŸ˜‰ … And then, the summit of this particular ascent was reached, and the path peeled away from under the woodland canopy and flattened out atop a dusty, scrub-strewn ridge. And it was here that I came across Patrick and Mark – fellow pilgrims (and, at least partially, far distant relatives) from Ireland. And it was then that they heard the tale of my Walk – its why’s as much as its how’s – and without even the most indirect of mentions offered me the rest of their day’s trail mix* … :O πŸ™‚

β€œWe all have our own road to walk, it is true. And yet whether our unique trails are rocky or smooth or curving or straight, what good is a road walked alone? For no matter the pilgrimage we might be making, we must ever remember that it is only when our paths intersect with the roads of others that our own road can become clear enough to powerfully tread. After all, it is only when the lover meets a potential beloved that our Souls start to glow, and it is only when road meets road that our way’s true vector is rediscovered.” ~ inspired by Anthony Liccione

*As I believe I have mentioned previously, aside from vegan dark chocolate and avocados, any offering of trail mix (any assorted nuts, actually) was worth its weight in diamonds for yours truly while on The Way … πŸ˜€
