Day 10a: on Seeking & Finding … (04/24/2019)

After a wonderful evening spent with Elisabeth Oberfell and her lovely family in Haslach* I set forth the following morning feeling physically refreshed and emotionally upbeat. Of course, life being what it is, my physical energy was soon replaced thereafter by a growing fatigue and my emotional equanimity by a gnawing sense of dis-ease. For the way-markers through the forest in which I soon found myself were unclear to say the least, and I ended up walking down one arduous dead-end path after another before finally rediscovering The Way.

*I had entered the catholic church in that same town at dusk the day before, and had spent no more than 15 minutes therein before Elisabeth — the steward of the same — had not only enthusiastically heard the story of my journey and almost immediately thereafter offered me a home-cooked meal with her lovely family that evening, but had also offered me a bed for the night in one of the guest beds in her own home … :O
