Diana:    God gives us laws and his Word to obey.   I choose to do my very best to live the way He wants … I choose Heaven, an eternal home with God.  God Can judge, He is THE Judge!!!!

 

Scaughdt:   Exactly, Diana!  GOD is the judge – not you – which means it is high-time for you stop judging homosexuals!

 

Diana:   I’m not judging them at all … You’re just being too silly to realize it.

 

Scaughdt:   What part of “calling out the sin of others IS judging those deeds to be sin” do you not understand, my dear? … And at the very least, you must be capable of understanding the very simple fact that actively & openly worshiping a God who judges certain behaviors to be “mortal sins” is actively supporting His judgment thereof – and thereby become judgmental thereof yourself … What about this relatively simple concept do you still not understand?

 

Diana:   Of course I understand — clearly you do not.   Bottom line: rules — break ‘em and pay the consequences … I obey God — I choose to.  He is awesome!!!!!!!!! … This conversation started with gays.  The Bible says they go to Hell; not me.

 

Scaughdt:   Diana, you are choosing to worship the God of the Pharisees in your Bible – a God who makes rules and judges strictly and punishes unrepentant sinners with an eternity of torment in Hell … And yet this is not the only God available to you in your Bible.  You could, for example (as I have repeatedly & oh-so-conclusively shown you & yours in this thread) choose to follow & worship the Father of Jesus Christ instead … Until you do so, you will be choosing to worship the lesser, wrathful God – indeed, a somewhat evil version thereof at that!  And that is a choice that both Jesus & I highly recommend you not make …  Be well, my Friend!

 

 

P.S.   Again, if you decide to ever actually read your Bible, you will quite readily see therein that BEING GAY IS NOT A SIN …

Diana:   It is not judging to say that if you die a homosexual you’re going to HELL.

 

Scaughdt:    Of course it is!!!  Diana, the Bible does not ever say that being gay is a sin.  Rather, it is you who are choosing to read the Bible in a sinful way; a way that incorrectly (and in fact immorally) judges homosexuality to be a “mortal sin” … In essence, you are creating Scripture that does not exist, and this is not only unloving of you as a person, it is actually blasphemous of you as a Christian … How can you not see this?!?   Go ahead, my Friend, show me one verse in the entire Bible that says that homosexuality itself is a sin or that homosexuals are innately sinners … Go ahead, show me just one verse from the Bible’s 33,000+ verses that says so … I’ve looked extensively and I can’t find any, and I can’t find any for the same reason you won’t find any – because there aren’t any!

 

P.S. And by the way, even if the Bible did say that homosexuality itself was a sin, it would still be judgmental of you to choose to affirm those verses of Scripture, instead of test them, to see that they bear Bad Fruit, and then to reject them – as the Bible itself tells you to do!

P.P.S.  You might respond by saying, “That’s just the way things are, and that’s just the way God is”, and yet even if you are somehow correct in saying so – even if God is as capriciously immoral as you claim Him to be, how can you live with yourself worshiping such a callous, unjust & unloving God?  … I’m sincerely curious about this, so please explain!
