Page 689 … the Ultimate Victory

“Jesus paid the ultimate price, and won the ultimate victory”

Well, you and I agree on this one point, at least.  Jesus did exude the greatest of nobility by sacrificing his entire life to spread the message of his Way – The Way of selfless LOVE.   And since you also believe that he did so, I must humbly ask you – why are you still refusing to follow his wishes as he proclaimed them in the Gospels?   Which ones, you ask?  Well, for starters, how about these:

Do not judge, so that you may not be judged … Why do you see the speck in your neighbor’s eye, but do not notice the log in your own? … You hypocrite! First take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly enough to remove the speck from your neighbor’s … You hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup [of others], but inside are full of greed and self-indulgence … First clean the inside of your own cup, so that the outside might also become truly clean … Let [she] who is without sin cast the first stone.” ~ Jesus Christ (Matthew 7:1-2 + Matthew 23:25-26 + John 8:7)

“Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Whoever becomes humble like this young child is the greatest in the Kingdom.” ~ Jesus Christ (Matthew 18:3-4)

“I now give you a new Commandment: that you Love one another.  Just as I have Loved you, so you should also show one another Love.  Indeed, by this everyone will know that you are my disciples: when you show Love for one another.” ~ Jesus Christ (John 13:34.35)

“Whoever says, ‘I have come to know him,’ but does not obey his commandments, is a liar, and in such a person the truth does not exist.” ~ 1 John 2.4

“The law was given through Moses; Truth came through Jesus Christ.” ~ John 1:17
