Page 735 … the WHY’s of the matter
Next you note that, “Jesus always follows the will of His Father”, and I would agree with you whole-heartedly on this point. And it is because I agree with you that I ask you now the following question quite frankly: If Jesus always followed the will of his Father – a Father of perfect, unconditional LOVE (see Matthew 5:48) and a Father who steadfastly refused to punish or judge (see 1 John 4:18 & John 5:22), then why are you publicly refusing to do the same? Why are you & yours actually following another “god” entirely (or at the very least a much less mature, much less wise and much less caring “younger” version of the same)? Why – by doing exactly the opposite of what Jesus advocated you do for your homosexual brothers & sisters – are you & yours so determined to abandon the perfect Love of Jesus’ Father and follow the condemnatory, wrathful, judgmental tyrant Old Testament “god” of Paul & Revelation instead? … I mean, if you truly adhere to the “whole Bible” (which you openly claim to do), and if the Bible clearly shows Jesus to believe that his heavenly Father was a God of Mercy whose Love knew no flaws or limitations, and if Jesus truly follows the will of that all-Loving godhead, and if you claim to be devout followers of Jesus Christ – then why are you not doing what Jesus quite clearly told you to do whenever confronted by fellow sinners – gay & straight alike?
“Do not judge, so that you may not be judged … Why do you see the speck in your neighbor’s eye, but do not notice the log in your own? … You hypocrite! First take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly enough to remove the speck from your neighbor’s … You hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup [of others], but inside are full of greed and self-indulgence … First clean the inside of your own cup, so that the outside might also become truly clean … Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Whoever becomes humble like this young child is the greatest in the Kingdom … Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.” ~ Jesus Christ (Matthew 7:1-2 + Matthew 23:25-26 + Matthew18:3-4 + John 8:7)
