Page 775 … for Him or against him
“Christ said that you are either for him or against him” … Yes, Jesus does say both that those who are not with him are against him (see Matthew 12:30 & Luke 11:23) and that whoever is not against him is for him (see Luke 9:50), both of which raise the interesting question: Why are you not only not for him, but actually against him, my Friend? Why are you not only not following his teachings and not abiding in his commandments, but actually doing just the opposite – by hypocritically condemning homosexuals instead if loving them?
“Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven; give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back … You hypocrites! Take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck of sawdust from your brother’s eye … How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own? … You hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup [of others], but inside are full of greed and self-indulgence … First clean the inside of your own cup, so that the outside might also become truly clean … Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Whoever becomes humble like this young child is the greatest in the Kingdom … Let [she] who is without sin cast the first stone … Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in Heaven … You hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied rightly about you when he said: ‘This people honors me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me’” ~ Jesus (Luke 6:37-42, Matthew 23:25-26, Matthew18:3-4, John8:7, Matthew 7:21 & Matthew 15:8)
“A new commandment I give to you: that you Love one another. Just as I have Loved, so you also are to Love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples: when you show Love for one another … Be perfect [in LOVE] therefore, just as [the LOVE] of your Father in Heaven is perfect … There is no fear in Love, but perfect Love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment and whoever fears has not reached perfection in Love … Show mercy to others, just as your heavenly Father shows them mercy.” ~ Jesus Christ (John 13:34-35 + Matthew 5:48 + 1 John 4:18 + Luke 6:36)
