Page 792 … (not) working for Satan
“I would have to say that you are working for Satan in upholding what God does not!”
Heavens to Betsy, Lucy! Here we go again with your “Scaughdt is in league with Satan” silliness … (sigh) … Fair enough, my Friend. I have destroyed this bit of slander from you many times in this thread already (and forgiven you for it many times as well), and yet I guess it won’t hurt for me to dismantle it once again …
*First of all, how deliciously ironic it is that you claim to follow the narrow Way of Christ while actually following the much broader Path of Paul; … how Jesus in the Gospels quite clearly warned us all of those like you & yours who would come claiming to be his representatives, but who in reality would be false prophets (see Matthew 24:24); … how Jesus told us all quite clearly how we are to discern which of those messengers speaks Truth and which blasphemes against his Way (see Matthew 7:15-20); … and how even Paul himself inadvertently warned his own followers against being misled by his own false “gospel” (see 2 Corinthians 11:14)! And how even more ironic it is that your current bold & groundless accusation against me is the very same one that the Pharisees of Jesus’ day made against HIM!!!
And what did he tell them after they had done so? Please, LISTEN WELL:
“Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will stand. If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then will his kingdom stand?” ~ Jesus Christ (Matthew 12:25-26)
*Secondly, this statement served to solidify what Jesus had already said about identifying our lives’ real false prophets a few chapters earlier in that same Gospel …
And again, my dear Friend, please LISTEN WELL to the words of Christ:
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thorns, or figs from thistles? In the same way, every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit – Thus, you will know them by their Fruits.” ~ Jesus Christ (Matthew 7:15-20)
*Thirdly and finally, when we return to Jesus’ test of tests – the Fruit of the Tree test aforementioned – it is quite easy for anyone with the eyes to See & the ears to Hear to note that I am quite clearly not working for Satan! (Sheesh! … seriously?!?)
Once again, LISTEN WELL to the Word of God:
“Therefore I tell you, the Kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given instead to a people who produce theFruits of the Spirit.” ~ Jesus Christ (Matthew 21:43)
“The Fruit of the Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Generosity, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-discipline.” ~ Galatians 5:22-23
