Page 840 … the Truth in Titus

And then thereafter you go on to quote Titus 2:11-14, which is actually a very interesting passage; bearing a bit of analysis from Jesus’ point of view … Let’s listen to the Holy Spirit as it “[comments]” upon this passage for us …

For the Grace of God has appeared [Jesus Christ, a perfect embodiment of the Divine within us all – see John 14:20], bringing salvation FOR ALL PEOPLE; training us to renounce ungodliness [i.e. be Kind to everyone – even our enemies; especially those we find ‘ungodly’, or immoral, or uncomfortable – see Matthew 5:44-48 + Luke 10:29-37 et al] and worldly passions [not only material greed, but also spiritual arrogance – Matthew 18:3-4, and mental hypocrisy – Matthew 23:25-26], and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age [i.e. to actively LOVE others – see John 13:15-17 + John 13:34-35], waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ [who resides within us at all times – see John 14:20-26 + John 15:26 + Matthew 16:28], who gave himself to redeem us from all lawlessness [i.e. sin, including the sin of bigotry – see 1 John 3:4] and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous FOR GOOD WORKS [works which do not include judging others, even ‘for their own good’ – see Mathew 7:3-5].” ~ Titus 2:11-14

L501 - go fight THAT enemy

P.S. By the way ………

“If you truly Love me,
you will keep my Commandments.”
~ Jesus Christ (John 14:15)
