Page 935 … The Lessons of Christ
“Thank you Jesus, for all of your lessons.”
I wholeheartedly agree, my Friend, and thus ask you once more: If you are truly thankful for the lessons of Jesus, why are you not heeding them?
Again, please consider the Word of God:
Lesson #01: Salvation requires becoming humble as a child.
“Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Whoever becomes humble like this young child is the greatest in the Kingdom … Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the Kingdom of Heaven belongs.” ~ Jesus Christ (Matthew 18:3-4 + Matthew 19:14)
Lesson #02: We are to avoid judging others beliefs or behaviors or appearances.
“Do not judge, so that you may not be judged. For with the judgment you make you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get … Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven; give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back.” ~ Jesus Christ (Matthew 7:1-2 + Luke 6:37-38)
Lesson #03: We are to correct our own sins and extend selfless Love to others, not correct their sins and thereby essentially love ourselves.
“You hypocrite! Take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck of sawdust from your brother’s … How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own? … Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees. You hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cups [of others], but inside are full of greed and self-indulgence. You blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of your own cup, so that the outside might also become truly clean … Let only he who is without sin cast the first stone.” ~ Jesus Christ (Luke 6:41-42 + Matthew 23:25-26 + John 8:7)
