2018 … A final Farewell to Feuerbach

And then, in early September of 2018, it became resoundingly clear that I no longer needed to keep getting ready to Go; that it was indeed time to leave Germany behind and head back to the States – all the way on foot, and all the way “on faith” (using no money at all on the way and never once asking for food – fasting until offered sustenance and sleeping under the stars until offered shelter) …

“None of Life’s truly magnificent undertakings can ever hope to even faintly register in our mind’s comprehension thereof until we start boldly living them. In truth, no amount of pondering or planning or preparing can hope to come close to giving us even the most shimmering glimpse of what any great Leap of Faith can be once it is finally & truly taken. So it is with acts of raw selflessness we call “Love”, so it is with acts of communal care we call “Family”, and so it is with acts of bold Faith we call “Pilgrimage” — the latter of which, when undertaken potently, is always performed under the penumbra of selfless Love; and the latter of which, as a matter of true course, thereby always ends up creating quite an immense Family indeed.” ~ excerpt from Day 001 of my WHP journal
