Day 145h: Despite the things we Know … (September 21, 2019)

Despite our human intelligence, we are very much like our friends in the wild; the world we live in is a survival of the fittest. And yet to this I say, let the fittest survive, for mere survival is heavily overrated. We’re alive; we die. How long we survive for and indeed how much comfort or pleasure we feel while alive is of little worth or merit. Indeed our life’s true significance rests not in the endless comparing of ourselves to others, or trying to make life longer, or fill our bank accounts with ease, or using any other scales of evaluation that differ in the heart and mind of every equally sacred Soul. No, meaning and purpose and contentment and joy can come from only one place – in the deeds we do for others with these brief moments we have been given.” ~ via A.J. Darkholme
