Day 138k: To walk the Cosmic Talk … (September 14, 2019)

Speaking in Creation’s tongues and hearing Creation’s voices, the boundary of our Soul expands. Earth and its encompassing Cosmos have many voices. In truth those who understand that the Earth is itself essentially a living being, know this because they have translated themselves into the animals and the grasses and the boulders and the trees. They know that the Earth is a community in its highest form; a community that is constantly talking to itself and repairing itself and realigning itself; a communicating Universe – a caring Universe – a pulsing Universe – a peace-loving Universe. And whether we know it or not, we are all in some way participating in the web of that same Community – many quite admittedly by inspiring an overarching response to selfishness or violence or corruption or discord, true enough, and yet some by going out of their own way to assist the flow of the Cosmos in getting to the ultimate harmony it ever seeks … In a similar vein, our social connections can be thought of in a number of similar ways – like threads in a strong web, or highways connecting cities, or bridges spanning neighborhoods, or even tree roots interwoven through the forest. And yet no matter the metaphor used, the important thing to remember is this: the strength of all such systems relies on healthy, nourished, caring interconnections. Our hearts and dreams might well be boundless, and yet we each only have so much time and energy available during our preciously brief time here on this planet. This is why quality definitely outweighs quantity when it comes to interacting with all the beings around us. And the deeper (i.e. the more courageously caring) we choose to connect, the more we positively (i.e. peace-fully) make a difference to each other, to the world, and to the Universe in which we ride.” ~ inspired by Joan Halifax & Joe Kelly
