Day 121e: Brightening UP the Day … (August 28, 2019)
I kept walking onward and shortly thereafter came across a crew installing solar panels who were taking their lunch-break by the roadside. I waved hello and smiled, whereupon one of them called out loudly “Why are you walking? Are you stupid?” Without pause or even a hint of a frown, I smiled gently and answered – “My feet would say that I certainly am, and yet my walking is doing a lot of Good for a very good Cause, so I guess I’m not.” Not surprisingly, none of them knew what to do with that answer but laugh along with me, and I departed thinking that all our days had been made at least a little bit brighter via the same …
