I saw Jackie in her yard as I was heading out of town, and was blessed to speak with her for awhile β powerfully testifying to my Walk and its underlying Way of Kindness; doing so fluidly in fact that she freely offered me a few apples and a loaf of bread for the Road (along with her sincere apologies that she couldn’t put me up for the night, seeing as how several other pilgrims had already reserved all her hostel beds for that evening). It was an awfully hot afternoon by that point, and yet I easily found a wonderful spot of shade a few meters down the trail where I stopped and gratefully consumed the aforementioned sustenance β¦ π

βThe mango doesn’t taste as good once it’s been eaten, just as the goal doesn’t mean as much once it’s been reached. In truth, if we add up all the individual blessings we receive in our lives, we won’t have very much at all. Band yet if we add up the spaces *between* those Grace-full rewards, we’ll come up with quite a bit indeed. And if we add up the rewards *and* their intermittent spaces, then we’ll have everything β every single glorious minute of the time that we have been blessed to live upon this Earth.β ~ via Benjamin Hoff
