Day 072o: The Sacred in the Special… (June 25, 2019)

While it is true that the Divine resides in all things, it is just as true that His&Her celestial splendors are more readily witnessable in certain special places …

Our task is to announce – in deed more than word – that our exile is over; to enliven the symbols that speak of healing and forgiveness; to act boldly in the humbly caring power of the Spirit. Martin Luther’s definition of sin was homo incurvatus in se, “humans turned in on themselves.” And in this light you must ask yourself: Does the industry in which you currently work foster or challenge that principle? You may not be able to change the way your discipline currently functions, and yet that isn’t necessarily your Calling. No, your task is to find the powerful ways of doing things differently, potent ways of planting peaceful flags in hostile soil, brave ways of setting up signposts that say there is a different way for us all to Be Human. And when people are puzzled at what you are doing or confused by the pure Love that your deeds remind, then it is for you to find ways — fresh ways; bold ways — of telling the story of the return of the human race from its exile, and of being a living example thereof.” ~ inspired by N.T.
