Day 071q: A far more Grace-full graffiti … (June 24, 2019)
It is crucial for us all to remember that “The ONE” does not refer to a being separate &/or above us, but rather references the Truth that we too are an innately interconnected, an equally significant, and an ever-potentially powerful facet of the entire Cosmos. The former meaning limits us by keeping us separate from seemingly unattainable standards of Goodness & Love, while the latter gently reminds us that we have full and unrestricted access to the same – whenever we pause just long enough to then choose with courage to act accordingly …
“The action or rhythm of walking was used by many a mystic as a technique for dissolving the attachments of the world and allowing seekers to lose themselves in God. In truth the aim of many saints was to become a ‘dead man walking’: a peons whose body remains alive on the earth while his or her Soul already resides in Heaven. Many a sacred manual says that toward the end of his or her tourney, the truly spiritual person becomes the Way – not a mere wayfarer; a place through which Life is passing, not a mere traveler following his own desires & designs … By spending his or her whole life living in this way, a walker eventually became the path, the pilgrim his or her pilgrimage. This is what it means to know the Wayless Way, where the Children of God lose themselves and, at the same time, rediscover their Souls.” ~ inspired by Meister Eckhart
