Day 071p: Traveling both Terrains … (June 24, 2019)
“Suddenly I came out of my thoughts and noticed everything around me again – the lush greens of the neighboring fields, the way the leaves of the trees danced with the gentle wind, the sun-stroked shadows that laid out perfect geometries upon the path underfoot. And then there was myself, walking with the alignment that only comes after treading may miles, the loose diagonal rhythm of arms swinging in synchronization with legs connected to a body that felt long and stretched out – simultaneous one with the ground below and the heavens above …When you give yourself to places – fully give yourself to them, they give you yourself back; or better stated the more you realize that they are always giving to you. And the more you come to know them in this way, the more you seed them with the invisible crop of associations that will be waiting for when you walk similar paths again. Exploring the world on foot is one the best ways of exploring the Soul, for walking always travels both terrains.” ~ inspired by Rebecca Solnit
