Day 070a: When swallows grace The Way … (June 23, 2019)
An unusually thunderous snore-fest in our common sleeping chambers has me moving downstairs to catch the night’s Z’s on the living room sofa* – flowing easily into what was harmoniously available instead of fighting to “make better” what was discordantly nearer by (much like smooth flight of the swallows who just a bit later gracefully anointed my early morning saunter up and out of town) …
“The day we decide to set aside the flimsy makeshift scenarios in our cluttered minds and eschew the hollow ‘alleluias’ of self-importance, life becomes genuine, lucid and graceful, much like the lilting flight of swallows in the glow of another new morn.” ~ inspired by Erik Pevernagie
*In my astoundingly cacophonous pilgrims’ defense, I almost always ended up moving off to sleep away from others in solitude during almost every hostel-stayover on this Walk – and this, whether my fellow walkers happened to be in snore-mode or not.
