Day 069t: To honor every Traveler … (June 22, 2019)

I left the cathedral fully refreshed and headed back towards the original edge of town to Le Champ d’Etoiles (The Field of Stars) – a famous Camino hostel and my refuge for the night. This lovely waystation was warm and warmly run by Jean Marc & Veronique; the father and step-mother of fellow pilgrim Remi (with whom I had walked on my previous day’s trek journey to St Alban and from whom I had heard of this lovely place) … I enjoyed a warm shower after checking in (and waiting for all the paying pilgrims present to shower before me, of course), hand-washed my t-shirt & underwear, wrote a bit on my bed, and then chilled out with fellow pilgrims downstairs in the common room – powerfully witnessing my Walk and its selfless Way to a sincerely supportive Vero in the process … I then made Jean Marc & Vero their very own Peace Stone, with which they were truly & deeply delighted …

“Law #02: You alone are responsible for what you are experiencing.”

If man is to thrive, he will learn to take an open delight in the essential differences between both his fellow men and their overarching cultures as well. And by doing so he will learn that differences in ideas and attitudes are nothing but a delight, an integral part of life’s exciting variety – something always to embrace & honor, and never something something to shun or fear.” ~ via Gene Roddenberry
