Day 069l: A quite cardinal Kindness … (June 22, 2019)

It turns out that mostly-silent Samuel wanted to return to a more solitudinous saunter (I had remained with him for so long and frequently voiced a friendly banter in his direction solely because it seemed that he was in some measure of discomfort and might have been longing for the company), and we parted ways after leaving the Colegialle’s holy havens – with Samuel heading promptly back out onto The Way, and me heading into town to rest for a bit (and allow Samuel to move comfortably ahead into his wished-for withdrawal). I soon see a sign for the Restaurant Cardinal (a bird having a longstanding history of positively accompanying many of my life’s previous journeys) and serendipitously stop in, where owner Philip (“Folks just call me Filou”) asks me about my Walk and then offers me (in this case literally) an espresso “for the Road” …

To become one with your greater Divinity, you must do more than merely feel Love pour into your lungs as you breathe. You must feel its presence, yes, and yet you must also vibrate with its perfect radiance as you share it with others nearby.” ~ inspired by Jay Woodman
