Day 068k: The coming together; the flowing Onward … (June 21, 2019)
On we both flow, Michael and I, letting our light conversation make light work of the relatively heavy walking conditions (with lots of recent rain making for lots & lots of muck & mud) – all the way into the tiny-yet-lovely town of Flamarens, where we come across Dominique manning a concession stand across the street from the local church, which is undergoing some major reconstructive renovations (with the profits of her sales apparently going directly towards the same). Chat with her for awhile and she is quite obviously quite earnestly intrigued by my Walk – not to the point of directly supporting the same, and yet her sincere attention might very well one day manifest itself in an increased likelihood of her enlivening its message of Compassion & Kindness. I’ll never know one way or the other, of course, and yet I choose to err on the side of believing in the same (it makes for easier Walking when you imagine your Walk inspiring others to Be Good) …
Michael had purchased some food from her already, and I wasn’t too keen on sitting down in the relatively damp conditions (much less to even inadvertently give him the impression that I am hungrily watching him eat – I often choose to flow onward and let others eat in peace in such situations; wanting them to give of their accord if they are going to so so, not out of any feelings of obligation or guilt or shame), so I simply wish him well and flow onward into the damp day, and am immediately blessed by quite the beautiful visage of the town’s flower-bedecked main thoroughfare as I do so …
“The Universe itself is a life giving force that is a literal part of us. It flows in perpetual harmony through our bodies and thereby limbically guides our every step – however subtly. Indeed, it constantly maintains the flow of life within and all around us, and perpetually gives us both the inspiration and the knowledge we need to make peace-enhancing choices for others therein – however sporadically we might choose to do so.” ~ inspired by Sameh Elsayed
