Day 067e: When our next Family arrives Home … (June 20, 2019)
That day’s next group of pilgrims steadily arrives – first Michael (a young man from Nashville with whom I relaxed for a bit; witnessing my Walk and chatting of “home”), then Nathalie (who had told me to stop over at Le Par Chemin just a few days previous) & Maude (a 3rd World front-line humanitarian aid worker who was walking the Camino to recover from a case of “burnout”), and then Ole (a pastry chef from Denmark) – and we all sit down together for yet another delicious meal …
“It is an absolute certainty that no one can know his or her deepest beauty – much less perceive his or her purest worth – until it has been reflected back in the mirror of another sentient being with whom we break bread &/or for whom we selflessly care.” ~ inspired by John Joseph Powell
