Day 065e: The Road & the View … (06/18/2019)
“If we focus too intensely on the road we are walking, we miss the wonders that reside thereupon – the scintillating beauties, the serendipitous encounters, the other sentient lives walking or simply being nearby. On the other hand, when we do the opposite – when we allow our gaze to continuously wander in search of the aforementioned, the road will fade and disappear from under our feet. And so it is that the truly Meaning-full life is the one that does both almost in simultaneum; striding consciously & resolutely towards a new & boldly caring horizon, yes, and yet regularly pausing to soak up our surroundings – and engage any & all in need – as well.
