Day 60h: All aglow for St. Roch … (06/13/2019)
Len* and I eventually made it up to the summit of yet another crest in the path, and found at the top there a lovely little pathside chapel — Noailhac’s Chapel of St. Roch**; a chapel that was impressive in its own right, to be sure, and yet a chapel that will be indelibly ingrained in my own memory for what it contained inside — namely, two of the most stunningly beautiful stained-glass windows (created by the artist Victor-Loup Deniau in 1997 and 2000) that I have ever seen in my life, much less encountered during The Walk itself … :O

*Great thanks to Len as well for sending me his pictures of the stained-glass pictures shown here. The quality of my camera’s images was already fading fast by this point, and couldn’t accurately capture the phenomenal glow emitted by these two multi-colored masterpieces … 🙂
**St. Roch is yet another patron saint of pilgrims, and also known as a protector of animals as well — obviously, my kind of guy (at least in those two regards) … 😉
