Day 58h: A far more peaceful Dawn … (06/11/2019)
If I am being frank, Espalion wasn’t the most warm-hearted of towns (at least not on this particular day — at least not towards this particular pilgrim), and yet true to the Camino’s ever-wondrous form, just as I was about to lose all faith in the local residents thereof, I came across this donativo coffee stand on the very edge of town … 😀
“Though the westward storms of ignorance and hatred and greed and cruelty might well be breaking upon us, I refuse to believe that their whirlwinds are inevitable or everlasting. Instead I look to the east — to the promise of a calmer and kinder and far more peaceful dawn.” ~ inspired by W.E.B. Du Bois
