Day 57g: The wrong way walked Rightly … (06/10/2019)
It was at this point that I confidently decided to head onward towards the next town of L’Estrade, looking briefly back upon St. Chely and then doing so resolutely — upward and onward along a quite steep & most slippery path; a path that to this day remains one of the most stunning stretches of hiking I have ever walked; a path that winded & roamed steadily uphill for over 8 kilometers; a walk that amounted to over 2 hours of powerful & Beauty-full hiking; and a walk that happened to take me in the exact opposite direction of the one I was supposed to have taken … :O
“Life is often painful and arduous, no doubt. It gets confusing sand down right complicated at times, and sometimes we have no idea where to go or what to do, much less where we truly are. Lots of times people just let themselves get lost, falling haphazardly — almost willingly — into a wide open abyss. And yet that’s why we have to keep trying. That’s why we have to push through all that hurts us, and work past all the memories that haunt us, and keep flowing towards all that inspires us. A life without difficulty or challenge — a life without ever getting lost — is actually no life at all. And that’s why I tell people that if they find themselves ever walking the wrong way, they need to do so rightly — with courage and persistence and character and purpose.” ~ inspired by Alysha Speer
