Day 52o: Winding with the Wind … (06/05/2019)
The Way flattened out nicely after a time, and yet the Camino once again showed her true humor-laced colors when a steady headwind whipped up and turned what was a promising afternoon saunter into an arduous trudge through much thicker air ( 😉 ) … No matter, of course, as trial & tribulation are constant companions for any long-way wanderer, and I found myself walking along in good spirits despite my slowed progress — all the way until I came face-to-face with Gilles; a pilgrim who quite cleverly was walking “the backwards way”; eastwards — away from Santiago, and with the wind … 😀
