Day 47j: The Way within us All … (05/31/2019)

The walk this afternoon was a truly lovely one — flowing along smoothly under sunny skies with a cool breeze gently nudging at my back; walking easily through surprisingly lush & mossy woods, and then into & through the quaint little townships of l’Hermet and Coroilles. And it was shortly thereafter that I came upon a perfectly manicured country homestead (seen in the second image below) — a homestead where I encountered a surprisingly gruff elderly couple. After witnessing them unsuccessfully trying to scamper inside and hide from my admitted uber-scraggliness as I approached from afar ( :O ), I was able to get their attention with a wave and a smile. The woman of the house came towards me with a slight scowl and a somewhat harsh “What do you want from us?”, and yet despite this obvious initial disdain for wayfaring strangers, they both allowed their fears to quickly melt in the face of the brief telling of my Peace-full Mission; offering me not only a drink of requested water, but two fresh apples for the road to boot … 😀 😀 😀

“The path into the light often seems dark.
The path forward often seems to go back.
The direct path often seems long,
and true power often seems weak.
True purity often seems tarnished,
and true steadfastness often seems malleable,
True clarity often seems obscure,
and even the greatest often seem unsophisticated.
The greatest Love often seems indifferent,
and the greatest wisdom often seems unfeasible.”
