Day 41e: The River of all rivers … (05/25/2019)
“Beyond Sufism, beyond Buddhism, beyond Christian mysticism, beyond humanism, beyond atheism, agnosticism, and pantheism, beyond them all there is a river – a river that is pure – a river that is chaste – a river that is incorruptible – a river that has the power to breathe life into even the most degraded society and even the most discordant relationship. And yet you cannot find this river anywhere nearby, for it doesn’t exist in the way we humans normally perceive existence. That is to say, this deepest of rivers doesn’t exist as a tangible rivulet, like the Hudson or the Thames or the Nile or the Mississippi. Rather, it exists in the particles and wavelengths that connect your brain with your heart. It is a river that needs but one earnest shove to begin to flow again within you, and when enough such rivers start flowing again, they always flow as One. And when this begins to happen, the whole world will be transformed into a vigorous ocean of Virtue and Love.” ~ inspired by Abhijit Naskar
