Day 35m: Alone amongst the Dying … (05/19/2019)
It stuns me to this very day how well I was able to walk on this day — especially after the immense pain I had been in for so many days previous (as well as how difficult my previous night in Geneva had been), and I reached the day’s summit overlooking the quaint town of Col de Mt. Sion and sat on a bench outside the local cemetery and soaked up the phenomenal view … 😀
“A monk once asked master Joshu why the Bodhidharma came to China, and Joshu paused only briefly before answering: ‘An oak tree in the garden.” Just like this cryptic answer, Love’s message cannot be accurately delivered with words either. For in matters of both Truth and the Heart, if one receives words of wisdom literally, he will be lost. Similarly, if we try to explain Love with words, we will never come to truly understand the same. For in truth, Love is either a bold action or it is nothing at all. So replace all your analysis with acceptance and replace all your rationale with a gentle smile. Choose to release all your explanations and discard all your hopes and simply open your arms to Love … This and this alone is The Way.” ~ anonymous
