Day 31h: Bigger being Better — Part 2 … (05/15/2019)

I once again thought that my journey forwards had ended for the day; once more I thought that I was going to have to turn around and retrace many hours of steps previous in order to find an open way. And yet before I did so I decided to look at the situation more closely, and in doing so was shown yet another little known Truth — that sometimes life’s greater calamities are so huge as to provide often unnoticed pathways through their midst; that sometimes challenges could be so stifling that everything around them slows to a halt, allowing calmer heads to prevail and see the thinner, still-open pathways through those otherwise impenetrable storms.

And so it was in the case at hand. I took a deep breath, I calmly looked around, and I saw that the tree was indeed so huge as to give me just enough space to clamber UNDER the same …… :O

… and that is precisely what I did … 😀 😀 😀

“Faith is not enlivened by clinging to a certain shrine or a pleasurable hope or even a particular outcome. Not at al, for Faith only becomes truly viable while making a persistent pilgrimage of the Heart; it comes into potency whenever we don’t know at all what lies ahead or what might come about, and yet we proceed onward — relentlessly, almost recklessly — to courageously care anyway.” ~ inspired by Abraham Joshua Heschel
