Day 30f: For what I have Become … (05/14/2019)
I walk onward, into and through the town of Preverenges, and then come across what proved to be one of the most Peace-full places I encountered on the entire Journey — a bench along the lakeside path; a path now covered with a thick layer of soft mulch, and a bench sheltered by a thick copse of mature beech trees … 🙂
Even though I was not at all tired at the time, the enormous Peace of the place beckoned for me to sit for awhile, and so sit for awhile I did — awash in overflowing feelings of Gratitude (over being able to walk this pilgrimage at all) and Joy (in realizing that many I meet are being profoundly inspired by the same) … 😀
“Great occasions make neither heroes nor cowards; they simply unveil the same to the eyes of those nearby. Silently yet inevitably, whether awake or asleep, we grow either strong or weak based upon the decisions we have made. And then at last the next crisis arrives and reveals what we have chosen to become.” ~ inspired by Brooke F. Westcott
