Day 21d: Rediscovering the smarter Way … (05/05/2019)

Once again the Swiss waymarkers completely disappeared at this point in my journey, and I was at that point gently reminded by a hawk gracefully soaring overhead to gaze upon The Road not as a precise trail to be ever-found & exactly followed, but rather as a general direction in which to flowingly & fluidly tread. I knew that Santiago was almost due southwest, I knew that the valley I was traversing was oriented in that same general direction, and as such I knew that I merely needed to head down the same to head “the right way” … And I did so without frustration or worry for several hours before finally finding yet another waymarker — a waymarker that, in a delightful twist of irony, told me I had just passed “Moron Tower” … 😀

“Inner peace does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, no trouble, no frustration, or no challenge. It means to find yourself directly in the midst of all those things and yet still know calm in your Heart.” ~ inspired by Thich Nhat Hanh
