Day 08a: Water — Life Giver; Death Bender … (04/22/2019)

Here, a loving tribute to my primary source of sustenance during the 149 days of my Great Walk — water. People are indeed Kind, and so on some days I did receive an abundance of food. And yet people are also soaked in impregnated fear & indoctrinated distrust, so on many more days I simply drank lots of water while walking for LOVE. And interestingly enough, as long as I continued to focus on the latter (LOVE), the former (water) was always more than enough.

“Water, like LOVE, does not resist. Water, like LOVE, simply flows. When you plunge your hand into water, all you feel is a caress. When you plunge your heart into LOVE, all you feel is Peace. Water, like LOVE, is not a solid wall. Neither will not stop you when you forge ahead through them. And yet water always goes where it wants to go — just as LOVE, when purely given, always finds its way to the Soul. In the end, nothing can stand against either. Water, like LOVE, epitomizes the ultimate power of detached persistence. Dripping water wears away a stone and turns mountains into valleys, just as persistent LOVE wears away callousness and turns hatred into camaraderie … So remember that Great Truth, my dear child. Remember that you are more than half made of water, and choose to act accordingly. If you can’t steadily push through an obstacle, flow smoothly around it. And if you can’t erase another’s enmity, let your LOVE flow over and around them as well. So no matter happens to you in life, choose to move ever onward. Choose to move as water moves.” ~ inspired by Margaret Atwood
