Page 25 … making them male(s) & female(s)

Then you mention your personal belief that, “Christ is quoted at one point as saying that God created people ‘in the beginning’ as male and female, and that marriage as such must therefore be the union of one man and one woman joined together as ‘one flesh’.”

Lucy, in the two passages you reference here (found in Matthew 19 & Mark 10)  Jesus is talking about DIVORCE, not marriage.  And he wouldn’t be mentioning homosexual love in that context – as homosexual unions were not culturally sanctified at that time (Indeed, homosexuality as a psycho-physiological character trait wasn’t even recognized at all in Jesus’ day).  And besides, just because Jesus didn’t mention any other types of marital unions in these passages in NO WAY means that he harbored a bias against or a hatred for homosexuals!  To the contrary, Jesus was never shy in openly blasting the behviors he actually disliked (mostly those of the hypocritical Pharisees – the religious leaders of his day who championed the very same Old Testament laws that you are using to damn gays in this thread!) … So if Jesus truly had anything against gay relationships, you better believe the Gospel authors would have heard him say so – and you better believe that they would have joyfully recorded the same in their writings.  Of course, they didn’t, so it is more than fair to assume “the best” about Jesus and say that he didn’t either … Wouldn’t you agree?
