Page 185 … smacked by the Scribes

Thereafter, you say that, “Just as you tried to smack the nice person, the lawyer in your brain is really smacking you.”

Dan, I really don’t know why you keep bringing up this “lawyer” stuff.   Yes, I have a law degree (it says so right on my Facebook page profile) and yet I didn’t attend many classes, never bought most of my casebooks, and knew pretty much right away during my very first semester that the “life of the scribes” was not for me.  It was simply too immoral & too judgmental;  too much like Paul & the other Pharisees who Jesus frequently blasts in the New Testament; in fact too much like the Old Testament God you are currently championing.  So I bailed on the legal profession permanently in 2003, and have been walking The Way of Christ ever since.

P.S.   Now it is true that my brain has been trained to think reasonably and morally, which can sometimes be a potent (and therefore a somewhat off-putting) combination, and yet this doesn’t make me a “lawyer”, my Friend – it makes me (hopefully) a powerful advocate for The Way of Jesus Christ!
