“Those who know God’s LOVE will naturally want to obey Him.”
Hmmmmm — aside from the fact that any God who is truly Loving demands nothing of His children in return for His unconditional Love, I will admit that the tendency is strong to be kind to those who Love us like Jesus’ heavenly Father Loves us. And how does that Love manifest itself? How do we know when someone has truly embraced the perfect LOVE of Jesus’ Father? Well, it’s actually not that hard to figure out … Please consider:
*We know that we are acting as an embodiment of God’s perfect LOVE when we embrace our enemies with anonymous acts of Kindness (Matthew 5:40-44) …
* We know that we are acting as an embodiment of God’s perfect LOVE when we selflessly serve the downtrodden in our communities (Matthew 25:40) …
*And and we know that we are acting as an embodiment of God’s perfect LOVE when we give money & possessions & time past the point of comfort or ease (Matthew 19:21) …
* We know that we are acting as an embodiment of God’s perfect LOVE when we set aside our arrogant judgments of the “sinners” in our midst and extend to them open arms of humble Caring instead (Matthew 18:3-4).
