Page 310 … Caring in Silence
Next you attempt to excuse your prejudice against homosexuals (and “other sinners” – “other sinners” who you have oddly failed to call out on your page at all) by saying that “if our society celebrates it, we can’t both be caring and not say anything.”
Well Lucy, to this I will simply reply that, YES … YOU … CAN! And you can start to do so by spending time on your Facebook pages (and in your everyday interactions with others) where the most work needs to be done – namely, on your own humility & on your own tolerance & on your own Love! My Friend, it is most certainly not Loving to tell anyone that he or she is a “sinner” merely because a few verses in your Bible say the same, and it is most certainly not Caring or in harmony with The Way of Christ to worship a wicked God who would eternally punish the same!
Lucy, it’s not as though we are talking about the Koran, a tome wherein you wouldn’t readily find a non-judgemental alternative … The Bible is literally filled (overflowing, actually) with thousands of verses allowing you to easily and faithfully worship an all-Loving Father – the Father of Jesus Christ – instead of the damning deity in Paul’s letters &/or the tyrannical overlord mentioned in Revelation … You are choosing the latter over the former, my dear, and that choice reveals quite a bit about your personal prejudices … and almost nothing at all about the actual nature of God.
“Be perfect [in LOVE] therefore, just as [the LOVE] of your Father in Heaven is perfect … There is no fear in Love, but perfect Love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not reached perfection in Love … Be merciful [therefore], just as your heavenly Father is merciful.” ~ Matthew 5:48 + 1 John 4:18 + Luke 6:36
