Page 373 … the lies of the rebels

“The lies of the rebels make their flesh feel good and tell them they are alright as they are, and that they can live as they please, and that there is no one who will stop them or judge them for it.”

Yes, my Friend, this is a problem – for you & yours as much as it is for them & theirs!  For in order for any of us to enter the “Kingdom of Heaven”, each one of us must repent in the unique the way Jesus called for us each to repent – initially, by becoming humble as children (Matthew 18:3-4), then by refusing to judge one another or call out one another’s faults (Matthew 7:1-5 & Matthew 23:26), and finally by being openly Kind to others – especially when we least wish to do so, and especially to those we least like (Matthew 5:44-48 & John 13:34-35) … This won’t “make your flesh feel good”, of course  (It is soooooo much nicer to feel superior to others; to feel “saved” while looking down upon them as “damned”), and yet it remains the only Way to sincerely follow Christ, and the only way he taught us to enter his Kingdom.

You go on to say that, “The very first thing that those who choose to live a life of rebellion must do is … try to discredit God’s Word”, which – in another delicious twist of irony – is exactly what you & yours have been doing during this entire thread!  I mean, I’ve already given you a few thousand Bible verses showing this to be the case, Lucy … There are only 31,102 verses in the entire collection of biblical scrolls, so how many more of them is it going to take to get you to at the very least be able to admit the simple fact that there are indeed other equally valid ways of reading the Bible and interpreting its Scriptures than merely the one you personally like best?   How much longer, my dear Friend, until you allow The Way of Jesus Christ to lead you when reading its words?   You already have his Advocate within you (see John 14:26 & John 15:26) – you simply have to humble yourself (Matthew 18:3-4) and then courageously walk its talk (John 13:15-17) to allow its Divine Guidance to be heard.

“Why do you not judge for yourself what is right? … The Word of God is living and active … Do not despise the words of the prophets, but rather test everything and hold fast [only] to what is Good.” ~ Luke 12:57 + Hebrews 4:12 + 1 Thessalonians 5:21
