Page 475 … God has spoken

“Nothing has changed, Scaughdt.  God didn’t change his mind on sin … You can’t change it, and I can’t change it … He has spoken and His laws are just!  You just don’t know Him … If you did you would know His Love is pure!”

(sigh) … My dear Friend, there is so much theological & spiritual misinformation here in these few words that I really don’t know where to begin.  And yet begin I will …

*First of all, nothing has changed for you & yours, my Friend, because you refuse to see that Jesus came to amend (& alter, & adjust) the outdated & often barbaric laws of the Old Testament – to replace their judgment with gentleness; to replace their condemnation with forgiveness; and to replace their fear-based rules with Love-based Grace (massive amounts of biblical proof for this Truth have already been provided as recently as pages 421-426 herein).  In essence, nothing has changed for you & yours regarding sin because you refuse to see that Jesus came to provide that change! … In essence, nothing has changed for you & yours because you are still following the un-Ways of the Old Testament and the un-Way of the “apostle” Paul instead of THE Way of Jesus Christ!

*Secondly, if your God’s laws were truly just, then they would reflect Justice.  As it stands, that is definitely not the case. Allowing any sinner (even the gravest of moral violators) to burn for eternity because of a mere 80+/- years of wrongdoing is the epitome of injustice, my Friend, if not the epitome of evil itself!   A God of Love – a Father of perfect Grace (as Jesus himself described Him in the Gospels) – by His very nature could never allow such a travesty to be inflicted upon any of His children; most certainly not those children who have committed no mortal sin at all (like the non-lusting homosexual couple in the image to the right, for example) … To say otherwise is to re-make God in your primitive & fearful image of punishment & retribution, not do what the Bible advises and remake yourself in HIS image of perfect Love (Matthew 5:48) & absolute Mercy (Luke 6:36 + John 5:22) & never-ending Forgiveness (Matthew 18:22).

*Thirdly & finally, you obviously have not the faintest clue as to how well I do or do not know the Bible (or Jesus – or God – or the Way of Christ), and for you to say otherwise is an affront to all semblance of humility & respect (No worries, Friend – You are already fully forgiven ) … Indeed, according to the information provided in this thread alone, it is quite clear that it is actually you who do not know the Christ of the Gospels very well, my dear – and this is not my mere personal opinion; this is the opinion of the Bible itself!

In closing then, I reaffirm as always that I am immensely grateful to have you currently in my life, Lucy, and sincerely wish for you & yours lives filled with both the Love of the Father & the Peace of Christ … Take Care!
