Page 483 … To turn from sin

“To repent means to turn from the sin you are in — not to embrace [that sin]”

LUCY!  If I am going to take the time to respectfully write detailed and thoroughly researched responses to your arguments, the very least you could do is read them!   You have already made this false claim several times in this thread, and I have already explained your error every single time … (sigh) … Fair enough; here we go again:
*First of all, nowhere have I ever embraced sin or praised the sins of others in any way.  Indeed, just because we choose to follow The Way of Christ and not condemn others for their mistakes does not mean that we are somehow openly supporting the same!   And in truth, for you to say otherwise truly is ridiculous, and for you to repeatedly say otherwise in this thread (despite my repeated clarifications of this error) is starting to seem downright disrespectful!

*Secondly, while Paul’s (and thus the modern-day Christian church’s) definition of “repentance” is mostly a self-critical admission of personal sin (accompanied by an open profession of faith in Jesus Christ as the only Son of God), Jesus’ “repentance” (the Greek word “metanoia” in the Scriptures – Strong’ # 3341) was & remains an active, 180 degree alteration of one’s entire life; a full behavioral shift of living – from taking to giving, from judging to accepting, from longing to attain personal salvation to longing to bring others Peace … Obviously, these two theologies do not mix, meaning that you & yours must ultimately choose between the two.  I myself have already chosen, and I highly recommend doing as I have done and choosing the latter – I highly recommend choosing The Way of Jesus Christ!

*Thirdly & finally (and for this thread most importantly), Oliver Clyde Allen and his husband Rashad – at least as far as any of us know (and certainly as far as their picture at the very beginning of this thread portrays) – ARE NOT SINNNG AT ALL!   As such, repentance – at least for this thread – becomes a completely moot point, for at least as far as you & yours know,  they have nothing from which to repent!
