Before we move on I think it’s time to get us back on track again, my Friend. You and I have drifted far into the depths of Christianity, both its traditional Paulinism & The Way of Christ – a departure from the main point of this thread that has been admittedly quite enjoyable for me, and yet for those reading along it might be nice to remember what this conversation is actually all about. As such, I once again offer the following primary overviews of this thread; three over-arching Truths that apply to every single argument either of us has made or ever will make herein … Please consider them again:
Truth #01: While I have clearly shown that the Bible does indeed offer a far more Loving, far more just and far more peaceful God, you continue to scratch & claw to “prove” a God whose Grace is severely limited, a God whose “love” is disturbingly conditional, and a God whose sense of “justice” is as warped as it is immoral. And you are doing so even after I have given you thousands of verses of Scripture in this thread alone that show quite clearly that —
THERE IS NO NEED TO WORSHIP AN IMMORAL GOD TO BE A “GOOD CHRISTIAN” !
Truth #02: By clinging to such unnecessarily conservative interpretations of the Scriptures, you & yours are completely abandoning any hope you might have of one day entering Jesus’ “Kingdom of Heaven” (alone the proclamations made in Matthew 18:3-4 + Matthew 7:1-5 assure you of this fate). And why? For the supposed guarantee of going to a “heaven” after you die that (if any semblance of justice & moral decency remain in your Heart after that ascension), will feel actually far more like a nagging version of Hell …
Truth #03: And even if you do happen to be correct, and God does turn out to be the celestial despot you make Him out to be, then every single Soul who makes it to His “heaven” will actually be morally obligated to rebel against His cruel & unjust ways – if not at the very least openly protest His disturbing lack of mercy. And rest assured, my dear Sister, if Jesus is even half the man the Gospels portray him to be, then he will be the one leading those very protests – and he will be the one at the very front of that rebellion!

P.S. My dear Lucy, even according to the most constrained fundamentalist reading of the Scriptures, homosexuality itsef is never once mentioned as a sin therein! As such, I wonder once more and ask you once again: Why again won’t you go and listen to a devout Christian, non-sinning, homosexual preacher share the Word of God?
