Page 526 … Calling out the Bigotry
“You have called me a bigot and a hypocrite and [thereby] falsely accused me of being something that I am not”
Well, to be fair, I did call you “a bigot” one time in the past, and I admit openly now that this was indeed an error – one for which I have already apologized, and for which I apologize again. For you are certainly not “a bigot”, my Friend – you are bigoted and you hold bigoted beliefs about homosexuals, and there is a vast difference between the two; a distinction that I explained to you a number of times already – and yet I see I will have to do so again now …
Simply put, if you were “a bigot”, then that would mean that your ignorance about homosexuality & your prejudices against homosexuals would be permanently ingrained in your being – and as such, you would be fully beyond repentance, and it would be a complete waste of my time to speak with you about such matters. And yet, that is not what I believe … While it is quite clear that you are indeed bigoted against homosexuality – and that you hold a bigoted bias against homosexuals, I have faith that your willful ignorance & chosen callousness are not beyond your ability to repent therefrom; that it is not at all a waste of time to repeatedly remind you of The Way of Christ, in the humble hopes that you just might someday drop your intolerance and replace it with compassion; that you just might someday release your bias against gays, and replace it with a loving acceptance of them as the brothers & sisters in Christ that they most certainly are …
And the same holds true for your obvious hypocrisy on this matter, for if you were “a hypocrite”, then your moral inconsistencies & your arrogant double-speak would be a permanent facet of your being as well – and as such, you would be fully beyond repentance, and it would be a complete waste of my time to speak with you on these matters either. And yet, that is not what I believe … While it is quite clear that you are indeed a self-admitted sinner; just as much of a sinner as any of the homosexuals you choose to publicly condemn – and that you therefore are indeed hypocritical in calling out their sins as opposed to confessing &/or cleansing your own, I still have faith that such judgmental inconsistency is not beyond your ability to repent therefrom; that it is not at all a waste of time to repeatedly remind you of The Way of Christ, in the humble hopes that you just might someday drop your arrogant criticism of homosexuality and replace it with acts of humble caring; that you just might one day release your unjustified condemnation of gays, and replace it with an open Love for them as the brothers & sisters in Christ they truly are — or a the very least could be … Peace!
